I’m so happy for these two-they are a super sweet and vibrant couple, getting married next year. I can’t wait for their wedding. I had a ball shooting their engagement session–it was so much fun, a beautiful day, and they had great energy. Didn’t feel like work at all!
Tyler and Monique-Engaged!
Between rock n’ roll concerts and sight-seeing in Chicago, Tyler proposed to his girl friend Monique, surprising her while visiting the city for Lollapalooza. They still had the post-engagement glow when I took these pictures, bringing amazing natural chemistry to their session. Good luck you two in planning your wedding in New Orleans next year. You’re a beautiful couple and I’m sure your wedding will be too!
Jennifer and Jason- Promontory Point Engagement Session
Jennifer is a self-proclaimed romantic. Halfway through the shoot, I had to stop and ask, “Did you read love stories growing up?” She smiled and said, “Yes” and that she loved fairy tales. I had a feeling as I photographed her and Jason–they were just soo romantic! I love how tender they were with each other.
I had such a great time capturing them “cuddle” (Jennifer said I may be the only professional who can get away with telling clients to “cuddle up.”) I’m looking forward to the wedding this Saturday!
Anniversary Shoot- Anna and Mike
After seven years of marriage, Anna got the itch and decided to commemorate their relationship and time in Chicago with a photo shoot. They married shortly after college in St. Louis, Missouri, and have lived in Chicago since. Having fallen in love with the city, Anna and Mike had me capture them enjoying a few of the iconic spots in the city in celebration of their seven years together. Congratulations you two!
Engaged! Erin and Allister
Erin was all smiles during her engagement session at Ohio Street Beach and the loop bridges with her Husband-to-be. She has more than one reason to be happy; until recently, Allister’s been living in Amerstam, so not only is he in Chicago to live permanently, but the two will marry at A New Leaf, a favorite place of Erin’s, in October!
Jillian and Michael are all smiles during their Engagement Session
For Michael, Jillian was literally the girl next store. The two grew up on the same block, becoming life long friends. Now, this summer, they will become life long husband and wife. Congratulations Jillian and Michael! I had so much fun on this shoot. I can’t wait for the wedding!
Lindsey and Jon’s Engagment Session in Evanston
On a sunny afternoon in Evanston, IL, I met Lindsey and Jon to photograph their engagement session. The two met in seminary school three years ago, and have been hooked ever since. They’re a beautiful couple with bright smiles and deep friendship. They even have their own handshake!
Tiffany and Ben’s engagement session back home in Nebraska!
I’ve known Tiffany since my sister and her started working together at Wells Fargo bank when I was still in high school. She is my sister’s one-time colleague and roommate, now turned longtime friend. Tiff is beautiful, charismatic, kind, and fun! Ben is a perfect match for her!
AND, the thing I’m secretly most excited about, I was with Tiff when she first started dating Ben! One night while I was back in town, Tiff, with a giddy smile on her face, told my sister and I that she’d “met someone;” and from the tone of her voice, we could tell, he just might be the one.
Congrats you guys! I’m so happy for you both! I had the most fun taking your pictures and cannot wait till the wedding.
How Facebook Brought Them Together…
We’ve all done it…you know, facebook stalking 🙂 Well in this case, it worked out well for Engy and Jason. She spotted his image on a friend’s facebook page. He was part of an accounting group at their alma mater, U of I. He caught her eye, so that when she met him the first time while out, she made sure to introduce herself.
They went from facebook stalking, to facebook poking, to being facebook “official,” and next summer, they’ll once more update their status to “married.”
